The two of us came over with father in law and a family friend. We arrived a couple of days before they did so we met them from the airport, cases in and straight out into the Attic bar.

The next day we were going out for a meal but I became ill and ended up spending a day in bed feeling sorry for myself!!!

As it was my friends first trip over we wanted to show him as much as we could and went to different restaurants and bars everyday and basically walked all over Los Cristianos and Las Americas. Weather was stunning. We were looking to come out again in September but the apartment was booked up! Roll on January 2024!

January 2023

Getting to be a habit this, banishing the winter blues. Had a couple of small jobs to do on apartment then just a nice relaxing holiday. We met up with some friends who were over at the same time so spent a few afternoons in the local bars with them.

Tried a new restaurant, Coys just further round the corner from Taurus near to the apartment. This was superb! I had garlic mushrooms to start and lamb chops as a main. all were excellent. Will definitely go back here.

June 2022

Came out with father in law and my sister. We hired a car and had a mooch to a few other places including Los Gigantes, Playa San Juan and El Medano. We also had a ride into the hills and ended up in Valle de San Lorenzo so we couldn't resist a visit to Mesón Era Las Mozas. We had a mixture of food ribs, canarian potatoes, sweet black pudding, chorizo and chops that we shared between four of us. More than enough for us all. I highly recommend this place.

May 2022

Just the two of us out for 10 days. Had a few afternoons out with friends and did a few odd jobs around the apartment.

Weather was perfect. Sunny but not too hot.

January 2022

9days in the sun to beat the Winter blues! Didn't do much except the usual eat, drink and lounge around.

Weather was very nice but not too hot at night....perfect to sleep in.

November 2021

Came out for a quick few days visit to complete on the ground floor studio we looked at in September. Not much time to visit anywhere as we were very busy sorting out the apartment, hanging pictures and shelves up and generally sorting the apartment ready to stat in.

Bit of bad news on last night of our stay.....I ruptured my cartilage in my knee so ended up on crutches!!

September 2021 

Came out with family and friends for 10 days, still a few restrictions but not too bad. Weather was very nice, sometimes too hot! Went to Taurus Steak House just up the hill from complex. Not sure why we had never tried this before, the food was excellent.  

Had a look at a ground floor studio apartment that was for sale on the complex. Was nice apartment with good sea view from the terrace.

July 2021

Managed to get out for a week. Restrictions are still in place with limited numbers allowed around the pool and limits to restaurant and bar capacities. Place not very busy. Didn't do too much, just the usual eating , drinking and relaxing.

December 2020

Hurrah, took a covid test....negative...we managed to get out and no quarantine when we get back. We arrived on a Thursday lunchtime and were sat in the attic bar mid afternoon when news filters through-the UK has imposed 10 day quaratine for new arrivals from Tenerife!!! People all around were frantically trying to book flights for that evening, the prices shot through the roof. Luckily I was working from home so quarantine not a major issue. Sit back and have a few more beers! 

Weather was quite good, shorts and t shirts all the time. 11pm curfew but not really an issue as if you can't fit enough in all day then there is no hope!! there was a booking in system around the pool. You are given a two hour slot but if there is no one boked in then you can just extend your stay. Tried Harriet's tearoom on way into town just before the bus station, had a couple of breakfasts there and an afternoon snack. Was very good with nice staff. 

Didn't really get up to much, just the usual eating, drinking and lying round the pool. We did spend a day in Costa de silencio to catch up with friends who live in Tenerife.

We were due out in April but due to Covid restrictions this was cancelled. Fingers crossed for end of June.

November 2020

Oh Dear!! UK in second Lockdown so flights cancelled for November. Fingers crossed we can get out in December.

July 2020

Managed to get out for a week in between the UK opening then closing the travel corridor!

Weather was very hot all the more so as the pools weren't open due to Covid restrictions.

We hired a car from Sanasty which is based next to Victoria Court 2 apartments. We had a few drives out to restaurants we haven't been to before. They all served typical Canarian food. These included -

Mesón Era Las Mozas in a town called Valle de San Lorenzo.  I ordered a rack of ribs here which were absolutely Huge! We also ordered morcilla (black pudding), this had a nice sweet taste and a portion of Canarian potatoes and Mojo salsa. The prices were very reasonable and we look forward to going again.  

El Rancho De Nino, situated between the Go Kart track and Las Chafiras. Here I had Carne Fiesta which is pieces of pork fried in tasty oil which includes garlic and served mixed with chipped potatoes. This is one of my favourite dishes and have had it at many restaurants. Here did not disappoint!  We also went to El Codero not far from El Rancho De Nino. I slipped up here as I ordered lamb chops and although very tasty there wasn't much to them and they were quite expensive. I aim to go here again as we have friends who swear by this place so I am willing to give it a second chance!

Not everything was open in Los Cristianos and Las Americas was like a ghost town! But there was enough open. 

Sadly one of our favourite restaurants Hiba Hiba in the Passarella centre had closed down. Lets hope more businesses don't fall by the wayside due to the pandemic.

We are next due out in November.

Oh dear! All the world has stopped due to Covid 19 Pandemic. All travel cancelled. Hopefully it will all be okay for July!

With Thomas Cook going bust a couple of months previous, flight prices went through the roof so we decided not to come. Roll on May 2020.

July 2019

10 days in the sun! A few family and friends were out so we spent much of the time socialising in the bars and restaurants.

We went over to Costa Silencio to see a couple of friends who now live in Tenerife. Had a nice evening with a few drinks and a nice meal. It cost about €18 one way in a taxi from the apartment to get there. 

Took family to Las Gangarras restaurant. We had a nice lunch sat in the sunshine.

Hoping to get out again in December.

Builder is going to tile the top of the terrace wall to smarten it up.

May 2019

Just the two of us for a relaxing 10 day beak in the sun. Weather cloudy but warm for first couple of days then it was glorious for the remainder of our stay. A few jobs to do before I could relax!

Front door sanded down, stained and varnished. A new door bell fitted, a bit of whitewashing to the front of the apartment and some ceramics hung up at the front to raise the "kerb appeal".

We found a restaurant to try in a small village called Las Gangarras. It is in a village called Buzanada near to Guaza.

It is set in an old farm with the main bar and kitchen in the old farm outbuildings. It serves traditional Canarian and Spanish food. Whilst we were there there were two functions going ahead set in the gardens of the restaurant that had been decked out in bunting etc. I would highly recommend a visit.

Out with family and friends to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday.

Weather was very nice and sunny. A little chilly in evenings but still nice. Not out until Early May next year now.

Can't believe it is two years since we bought our apartment. How time flies!

Went for a ten day break and met up with family to celebrate father in law's 65th birthday. Weather very overcast the whole time and chilly most nights. The locals say it is the worst May weather they have known. Heated pool currently being re-tiled so that was shut during our stay. Should be re-open now. Overall the complex is looking very good. Geraniums looking good...thanks to Dave next door for watering them whilst we are not there.

March 2018

Spent 10 days at apartment. No work to do on it so just had a nice relaxing holiday. Weather was very nice, sunny and warm. Had some nice evenings out including a very good meal at Hiba Hiba in the Passerella centre near the apartment. Also had a nice evening out with some friends we have made since getting the apartment. All over too soon. Back out at end of May. Put some new pots up on the wall outside with some geraniums in...they have flowered very nicely.

December 2017

Managed to get out for a week at beginning of December. Weather was quite nice and sunny. Managed to paint the gate to the terrace and touch up some of the white paint to the exterior. Wardrobe doors look a lot better.

Hired a car through Cicar. A little bit more expensive than Autoreissen and Orcar but there was no availability through them. Apartment now booked up until end of March so will have to wait to get out again!

October 2017

Had word from our builder, wardrobe doors and storage cupboard doors painted and new handles added to update them. Not seen them yet. small chance We may get out for a few days in December.

July 2017

Just spent ten days at the apartment. Weather was very hot!! Thank goodness for the ceiling fans.

Terrace was in full sun for most of the day. The retractable canopy was a godsend. Purchased cushions for the sunbeds.

Didn't get up to much except the normal lounging by the pool , eating and drinking!!

We tried a couple of new restaurants most notably THE IVY in Plaza La Fontana in Los Cristianos centre, excellent reasonably priced food. Another one we tried was HÍPICA XANADÚ in Guargacho. It is about 12 euros in a taxi and is based on a farm with a large open eating area. It specialises in barbecue food. Excellent value for money.

We hope to get out later in the year but nothing planned yet.

One tip I would give is if you are planning to hire a car do so well in advance. The two companies I normally use Orcar and Auto Reissen had nothing when I tried to book about two weeks in advance!! There are other firms but I have not used anyone else and I have heard horror stories about some.

First year anniversary of owning our apartment. Just back from ten days in Tenerife. Weather a little overcast but still warm and a few days of sun. Pleased to find the sun ( when it did shine) was on the terrace for most of the day.

New internal doors fitted, look very smart and modern. External grillages repainted with a more glossy look. hung a few decorative pieces on the walls and filled up bean bag!

Cupboard and wardrobe doors still to be spruced up, hopefully they will be done for when we are next out.

Role on End of June for ten more days in the sun!

Just back from a few days in the sun. Weather very nice during the day, a little nippy in the evenings but perfect to sleep at night! Arranged to have new internal doors fitted to spruce up the apartment. Hopefully they will be fitted before we go back in April. Hope to get metalwork repainted whilst we are out there in April.
